These individuals work in joint effort to pull the strings of the political systems in Ireland and gather as much power and wealth as they can. The reward for killing them isn’t just story progression, however, as each member holds secrets to uncovering others as well as runes to boast equipment. One of these Children of Danu in Wrath of the Druids, the Spider, is actually hidden amongst the citizenry of Dublin but can only be uncovered through progression in the story and notes in the city.

In order to encounter the Spider, players must first progress far enough in the story to reveal the existence of the Children of Danu. Killing more and more of these antagonists in Wrath of the Druids reveals more clues on the locations of other members of their conspiracy. In this instance, killing either the Children of Danu member known as the Deer or the Whisper. Either one should reveal that the player must venture to Dublin to begin the hunt.

In order to get the second clue, players must compete in the drinking challenge in the city of Dublin and win. The size of the bet doesn’t matter but the player must win in order to reveal the next clue. Drinking challenges require timing and balance in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Players need to ensure they are hitting the prompted button as close to the center of the circle as possible. Through rounds two and three, the game also makes players hit another button to balance at the same time as they drink. Successfully winning this reveals the next clue is on the opposite side of Dublin.

Near the location known as Skald’s Rest in the city of Dublin (where players are asked to make an offering of 50 delicacies), there resides an enormous tree. It is quite the noteworthy landmark in eastern Dublin and players need to head to it to find the next clue. On a bench right by the tree is a note that reveals the Spider’s exact location and identity. The Spider turns out to be Aideen, merchant of Dublin, and is just a short walk away, at a stall in the market area of the city.

To complete the hunt for Aideen, players just have to go to the Order tab on the game menu, select Aideen, and mark her as a target on the map. Then it is a simple case of following the marker to the western part of the city of Dublin and assassinating the target. There are no enemies to get in the way and this last step should be without any major conflict. Killing the Spider results in a new clue being revealed for another member of the Children of Danu as well as a rune for use in weapons, shields, or clothing.
