The 21-year-old, who made his LaLiga debut last year, had the affected testicle removed at the Hospital de Cruces on Tuesday.
Athletic said the procedure had gone as planned and Yeray would remain in hospital for the next 24 hours for observation.
It is expected that he will be allowed to return home on Wednesday.
