During an early preview of Assassin’s Creed Origins on Twitch, the Ubisoft developers offered an extensive look at the game. They showed off some of the combat, the missions, and the story, before eventually checking out the Nomad’s Bazaar. At the Bazaar, players will be able to purchase crafting materials as well as a Heka Chest, which contains ‘one random weapon or shield.’ It was a bold choice showing a loot box system on stream, but the Assassin’s Creed Origins team was quick to point out that the currency required to purchase the Heka Chest can only be acquired in-game....

Sucker Punch released Ghost of Tsushima in 2020. The game was a brand-new IP that instantly captivated its audience and served as a great way to fill the void left by Assassin’s Creed avoiding the region. Eivor’s individual ambition and how that impacts their desire to help their settlement will reportedly be a key aspect of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s story....

Ubisoft’s latest earnings call revealed that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was a major success for the company in terms of unit sales. It was mentioned in the call how Valhalla was the biggest launch for the franchise and the company intends to capitalize on the momentum the game has garnered. Ubisoft intends to accomplish this by providing the game a “stronger and longer post-launch programme” than what Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey had....
